Blue Demon’s 2% Lanthanated Tungsten Electrodes (EWLa-2) are engineered for welders who demand precision, stability, and long service life from their consumables. These electrodes are compatible with both AC and DC currents using inverter or transformer-based constant current power sources, making them a flexible choice for a wide range of TIG welding jobs.
Compared to 2% thoriated tungsten, Blue Demon’s lanthanated electrodes run cooler and offer longer life while maintaining excellent arc stability and tip geometry. These properties make them especially effective in low to medium amperage applications across low-alloyed steels, stainless steels, aluminum, magnesium, titanium, nickel, and copper alloys.
